Enclave at Yaupon Scale Models

Our Biggest Project of 2022

Throughout 2022, we tackled a big project consisting of six scale models for a new housing development in Texas. The client wanted 5 scale model homes that showcased the interior and exterior of different home options in the new neighborhood. They also wanted a site plan model displaying all of the new homes in the neighborhood.

Customized Scale Model Homes

The size of each of the five homes is 4 ft. by 4 ft. making them the perfect visual piece for the clients open house. Not only are these models big in size, but they also each have removable pieces to view the inside of the homes. Each model has a second floor that can be taken off the home to view the interior of the first floor. All of the roofs are removable making it easy access to the inside of the homes. Each model comes apart piece by piece but easily can be assembled back together. There are five different home floor plans: Model A, Model B, Model C, Model D, and Model E. Each of these plans are completely different from each other making each model unique in its own way.

All the Details

With these homes being the clients selling point, we had to ensure the details matched precisely with the drawings. Lighting was installed to showcase what the homes would look like lit up and give it a lively, homey feel. All of the furniture and decor is custom made to match exactly to the renderings. Cars and people were added to each house to bring it to life. We can’t forget about all of the landscaping that added color, dimension, and finished off the look of the homes perfectly. Everything is accurate and beautifully detailed to give the client exactly what they envisioned.

Neighborhood Site Plan Model

This site plan model of this new development consisted of 16 miniature homes showcased in a neighborhood overlooking a pond. Lighting, landscaping, and miniature cars really make this model come to life. The size of this model is 2.5 ft. by 7 ft. Clients are now able to visualize their new neighborhood of 16 different homes they are selling to their customers. Customers can now see exactly where their new home will be located and what it will look like.

The Scale Model Process

As these models are being built, we understand how important it is for our clients to get updates and pictures of the models while we are in the process of creating them. These models took us a little over six months to get completely finished and weekly updates were sent to the clients for approval of the process and an update on how it was going. We want our clients to feel a part of the scale model process and ensure every detail is perfect in their eyes.

Client Review

“I was impressed when I saw the products on their website, I was pleased when I received pictures updating me on the progress of the homes that were being built for me, and I was totally amazed when they were delivered by the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Excellence all around! I highly recommend Global 3D Arts and will use them again!” – Wayne Morgan, Enclave at Yaupon

Let’s Talk About Landscaping

Is it real or is it a Global 3D Arts Scale Model?

There is hardly a greater factor in determining a finished scale model than to have realistic landscaping. Global 3D Arts donated this scale model of Fort Hays State University Library. The picture on the left shows an ariel view of the western area of the campus from a plane. The picture on the right shows the recreated scale model of the exact topography and landscaping. Custom Scale Model Add-Ons

We’re called the one-stop-shop for a reason!

Custom Covers and Display Cases

One of the scale model additions that we offer at Global 3D Arts is custom-made scale model covers and display cases. We design these clear covers to protect your model from being damaged and to keep them looking brand new. No need to worry about trying to clean between all of the tiny nooks and crevices on your model when it is preserved by a display case! These covers are not only durable but also removable so that you can show off your scale model however you please.

Custom Nameplates

Another popular scale model add-on, custom nameplates are the perfect finishing touch to a scale model, especially if it is on display. Nameplates can feature the name or title of a project, a location or address, a map key, a short excerpt, or essentially whatever it is you want to outline. They are a great way to give context to your scale model for your viewers. We can customize the metal finish as well as the font style to match the overall look of the model and make it really stand out.

Custom Bases

Get creative with your scale model display! We can create a custom table base that perfectly fits your model and gives it that extra wow factor. Regular tabletop bases that are not raised are also an option. These beautiful wooden bases can be fitted with one of our custom covers for an all-in-one scale model display that is sure to turn heads.

Custom Crates and Cases

It is important to consider how your scale model will be getting from place to place, especially if it will be doing some regular travelling. We have created dozens of custom model crates and cases that make transport less stressful and more convenient. You can rest assured that your model will travel safely and arrive in one piece in our heavy-duty cases! While these are particularly useful for travelling exhibit or trade show models, they can also come in handy if you plan to store your model at any point.

Lloyd Center Mall Scale Model

The First (And Tiniest) Scale Model of 2022!

New year – new models! We are excited to have already finished a scale model project so early into 2022. Hopefully, things stay at this pace all year long and we get the opportunity to do even more unique and challenging projects!

With a base size of 6 inches by 1 foot, the Lloyd Center Mall Scale Model features some of the most scaled-down details we’ve ever done. Without the help of any drawings or plans of the mall, we had to rely solely on Google Earth and pictures to produce the 3D files for printing. On top of that, we had to rush to get this model done and shipped off so that it could be given as a gift on time!

The cooperation and timely communication from our clients made this model possible. We enjoyed every second of this project, and look forward to more remarkable projects in 2022!

Curious how this model was made? Check out these progress pictures below.

Not sure which form of 3D architectural visualization is right for you?

Hispaniola Bay Waterpark Rendering

Renderings & Animations & Scale Models, Oh My!

Looking for ways to bring your project to life? Are you entertaining the thought of using a 3D architectural visualization piece to market your big idea or to put on display? Though there are some people who approach us with a clear vision for their project, more often than not, clients come to us needing our expertise to guide them in the right creative direction. Between the exciting options of renderings, animations, or scale models, it can be hard to choose, but we can assist you through the decision process and find the best fit for you.

Besides the first step of deciding what form you want your project to take on, there are also critical decisions that need to be made about the details and design of the project. If you are interested in scale models, for example, you could explore the options of open floor, interior, massing, interactive, cutaway, or other types of models. You might even want to look into a combination of two or three different types. And that’s just the beginning! For first-time customers, this can all be very overwhelming. The good news is we have over 20 years experience in the field and can present you with the perfect 3D visualization solution that will suit your unique situation.

Lindsborg Scale Model – Open Floor

At the end of the day, it all boils down to your goals and how you want to achieve them through 3D architectural visualization. Want a show-stopping display that will put a big project into perspective? A scale model would do the trick. Looking to incorporate some storytelling or present a walkthrough of different elements of the project? Go with an animation. Interested in hyper-realistic snapshots from different angles of your project? Renderings are a great option. Our team at Global 3D Arts approaches each inquiry differently and works with you one-on-one to find the most fitting solution. If you are curious about renderings, animations, or scale models, but aren’t sure which option would be in your best interest, send us an email at or call us at 888-609-2900. We would love to hear about your ideas and chat about the possibilities!

The MONA Scale Model

A Monochromatic Marvel

Ready for a tongue twister? Then meet our magnificent monochromatic MONA Museum Model!

Just recently delivered to Omaha, Nebraska to the architects office for the MONA Museum of Nebraska Art located in Kearney, this model was made to be utilized as a presentation piece for their proposed expansion and restoration of the museum. The current museum is housed in the historic 1911 United States Post Office building in Kearney. As the MONA’s programs and exhibits have grown over the years, so has their need for a larger and more accessible space.

We are pleased to have been able to create this special scale model to bring their vision for the renovations to life! The combination of the monochromatic color scheme with the green landscaping and lighting has produced a model that compliments the beautiful details of the historic post office building and the modern look of the new additions.

The MONA model is a perfect representation of how scale models can bring architectural concepts to life and be used to market projects! We look forward to seeing this project take form and are ecstatic to have been a part of the process. Thank you to everyone we worked with at the MONA for choosing Global 3D Arts!

Say Hello to Our Latest Project – The Best Egg Models

Ten Times as Great

What’s better than one model you say? Well, ten of course!

Our latest project had us creating ten identical tabletop-sized exterior scale models for Best Egg, a loan agency located in Wilmington, Delaware. These models, which were shipped off last week, will be used as a surprise at an event to celebrate this new building in the next coming days.

Hard Work & Dedication

Due to the event date being so soon, we had to work on a very tight schedule, but by putting all of our focus on this project we were able to make these beautiful models possible.

It was an great pleasure to work with the people at Best Egg, and we are so glad that we were able to do this project for them. We hope that these models make for an awesome surprise!

Progress on the FHSU Scale Model Updates

Time to check in!

Victor E. Village

First up for the updated scale models is Victor E. Village! Victor E. Village is home to over 400 students and 17 Learning Communities. This unique building is where many first-year students at Fort Hays State University live and enjoy updated amenities, a comfortable lobby, private pod-styled restrooms and showers, and even an Italian take away restaurant.

Retrieved from

The scale of the FHSU model results in a very tiny model that can fit into the palm of your hand! Soon, we will be adding all of the finishing details to the Victor E. Village model, including the paint, stonework, and a roof to replicate the actual building. There will definitely be more exciting updates to come on this part of the model!

Center for Applied Technology

Next, we have the Center for Applied Technology scale model in the works. Another important newer addition on the Fort Hays State University campus, the Center for Applied Technology hosts classes in computer-aided drafting, construction management, graphics, interior design, computer science and more. On the north corner of College Drive and 8th Street, this impressive structure is a whopping 58,000 square feet and came with a price tag of $16.5 million.

Retrieved from,-Events-and-People/

Davis Hall, which was razed in 2017 and formerly housed technology studies at FHSU, is still currently present on the campus scale model, but will be removed with the 2021 updates. The intricate details and design on the Center for Applied Technology model will make this building stand out on the FHSU scale model!

Keep an eye out for the full transformation as many more updates and pictures are still to come!
